Millison achieves ISO-9001:2000 Certification.

December 2003:

We are pleased to announce that Millison has been externally accredited to new ISO9001:2000 quality assurance standard.

The upgrade from the 1994 standard to the 2004 standard turned out to be a smooth and trouble free experience.

The general comments around here are that the 2000 standard is a clearer, more concise standard that adds more value to a business than the older 1994 standard.

Austronics 2002.

Well we finally 'bit the bullet' and decided to exhibit at a major trade show, choosing Austronics as having the best potential to raise our industry profile.

We provided a demonstration of the Marantz AOI system, as well as an introduction to Millison Technologies full range of assembly and design services.

We were obviously a little nervous about the potential of a show like this, but need not have worried. The show proved very successful for us, allowing us to meet a number of people from the industry. 

At this stage it looks like we will be exhibiting again next year at Austronics 2003 in Sydney.

Changed Phone / Fax Numbers.

As part of our factory move and communications upgrade, our phone / fax numbers have changed.

Our new phone / fax numbers are:

This is a new 8 line ISDN service to handle our increased levels of business. It includes direct dial, message bank and all the other features you would expect from a modern phone system.

Our old numbers will be diverted through to these for 12 month, however, we are having some trouble getting Telstra to keep this service in place. They have disconnected the redirection twice.

Millison's moving to larger premises:

After more than seven years at Keysborough, Millison is moving.

With the addition of our 2nd production line, additional staff and our increased volume of finished product assembly, we felt it prudent to increase our factory floor space significantly.

We are moving to an 8230 sq ft premises in Dandenong, about 1km from our existing Cheltenham rd, Keysborough plant.

Our production area alone now has more than three times the available space than our entire Keysborough plant.

Triennial ISO-9001 Re-Certification:

For those of you familiar with Millison, you may notice that we are now sporting a bright new quality certification logo.

We are pleased to announce that we successfully completed our triennial ISO-9001 quality re-certification.

KPMG QCI Certification Services have provided Millison with our external ISO9001 audit and certification services for the last three and a half years. Recently they were sold to QAS. Millison decided not to use QAS and instead engaged ISC to provide our ISO9001 audit and certification services.

We successfully completed our triennial audit and re-certification with ISC and have received the ICS quality logo and certificate. 

We intend to demonstrate our compliance to the ISO9001:2000 standard over the next 12 months, as it seems to be a much more customer service focused standard.
