Several years ago, Millison Technology staff attended a 3 day course entitled "How to design and operate a high performance plant". This course was run by Mr. Bert Anderson from HP Medical Products Group (HP-MPG) in Boston, USA.

Bert introduced us to the management philosophies and production techniques employed at HP-MPG.

These philosophies and techniques included:

bulletTaguchi, 'Design Of Experiments' and 'Quality Function Deployment'.
bulletDr. Deming and his management system.
bulletToyota Production System or Lean / Flow Manufacturing. 
bulletTheory of Constraints.
bulletMIT and their work on Organisational Learning.
bulletDr Seagal and her work on 'Human Dynamics'.
bulletAgile Manufacturing models.

We have embarked on a long term program to utilise these philosophies and techniques within our organisation, to build a plant based on a world class culture of excellence.

For us, this is a journey in which we have begun with:
